So, how do you tell family you haven't seen in years why you're pissy?

We're flying out the day after my first EDD. I'm pissed. I'm sad and I don't want to go. This trip has caused nothing but fights and anger between myself and mom, dad and husband. It's not going to be enjoyable at all.

How am I supposed to explain to everyone that I'm sad because of my lost LO? They're all the type who never went through that. They never experienced that kind of pain.

    Thats so crappy that you have to go through that....Its really no one else's business what your going through. All you have to say is that you're dealing with some rough times right now....Leave it at that.

    I'm sorry you have to go through this and that is it causing problems. It is not fair that on top of having to deal with your EDD, you have to deal with people (family) who don't get it.

    I think if it were me and my family was asking me why I was in a mood, I would just tell them that I am going through some difficult moments right now and that I would rather not talk about it.

    I think you will have to deal with this differently with each person.  There may be some you just have to say, crappy day.  But there might be one or two worth opening up to.  They can help have your back.  I have talked a lot with friends and family about my loss.  It is amazing how many have experienced one at some point in their life.

    I'm so sorry.  I wish more people were understanding of a situation like this.  I just think everyone needs to go through grief class and etiquette on how to speak to us on a daily basis.
