Do you deliver what you sell or do you have people come to your home? I'm ready to start unloading all of my baby stuff and I'm not sure I want to go through the trouble of a tag sale, but I've got some pretty nice stuff in really good condition that I'd like to get $ for. I'd like to try Craigslist, but it kind of scares me. I don't really want people I don't know coming to my home.
On a side note, if you don't use Craigslist/eBay, what do you do with baby stuff that you're done with?
Re: If you sell stuff on Craigslist...
I have sold several things on craigslist, from cameras to furniture to a treadmill. I think you definitely have to be cautious with who you sell to, but yes, I have people come to our house because most of the items we sell are large and cannot be easily moved. I would not deliver to someone, that is too much trouble for me. For smaller items, you could offer to meet at a Starbucks or something but if it was a swing or stroller or something, I'd probably just try to screen carefully and then have the buyer come to your house.
Our rule with craigslist is that I do not have any buyers come to the house when my husband is not home. So that means I have them come between say 5-7pm on week days or on the weekend. We have never had a problem with any craigslist weirdos.
Good luck!
