S/O Recommend a fitted diaper pattern

So if I were to tackle the challenge of sewing a diaper which pattern should I use. I need one that is beginner easy and preferably has pictures.

  • i like the Jalie pattern from KidsintheGarden.com

it includes patterns for pockets, AIOs, fitteds, and covers. (i'm not a fan of the cover i made with it though FYI) The fitteds in newborn size are like a KLO. The pockets are absolutely my favorite pockets, even over BG or Blueberry. They are all sized though, not OS.

  • I love love love the darling diaper unlimited pattern (ddu). It's extremely dummy proof for a newbie cloth diaper maker (every other pattern I've bought assumes that you know a certain amount about making a diaper and in my case that was not true) and is full of pictures and walk through instructions. You can make just about anything from this pattern (fitted, pocket, aio, cover, snaps or aplix) so it seems really long and overwhelming at first glance but as long as you read the first few pages it will tell you exactly where to go and what to print off based on what you want to make and once you flip to the right section it's only a few pages of instructions for each item.

All of the diapers I made for Ariel's stash are ddu's and I've made several for Noel along the way as well.

    RRP or Rita's Rump Pocket...

    https://handmadebyrita.blogspot.com/2007/10/classic-rrp-ritas-rump-pocket-pattern.html

you'll need to decide if you want velcro or close it with a snappi, and make sure to add seam allowances!

  • I think I've made the RRP and liked them.
