  I have a beco and I love it.  I have heard from other moms that those 2 carriers are similar.  I think Ergo allows you to breastfeed in it and the Beco doesn't, which is one distinct difference I know of.   I bought the Beco because I wanted to support local business, their corp office is in Costa Mesa, but both are great from what I hear.

  totally skip the ergo and go with either the beco or catbird baby pikkolo. I know the ergo works for alot of people but it is bulky and the fabric is thick and not breathable for both the wearer and child so it gets hot.

   I chose the pikkolo because it has memory foam straps and can do forward facing out if I needed to do that. It is also light weight and has cute prints :P

  We tried different ones because DD only liked being upright so the Beco worked for us. It's very light compared to the BJorn. Much easier on my back.

  Never have did try the Ergo.

  I love my Beco. I confess that I only chose it because I liked the patterns, but it turned out to be a great purchase.

  I LOVE my Ergo...so comfy! I never tried a Beco. I would say you should go somewhere to try them on so you can see which fits you better.
