  • If they fall on the floor I give them a good rinse.  When I "clean" them I boil them on the stove for 5 minutes.  I usually do that once a month.  And then I just did them today b/c DS had a cold for a few days that finally cleared up.  HTH

  • Never boiled them. He doesn't use them anymore, but before that I just rinsed them. He is fine and still here, no harm.

Yes me too. But my grandmother was mortified that when it dropped on the floor I just rinsed it off and stuck it back in her mouth. I just told grams that it's good to expose the baby to germs. But then I started to feel guilty about it.

Your Gram would freak out around here. I pretty much never wash them, and if it falls on the floor, I pick off the dog hair and pop it back in. A couple times I have "cleaned it off with my own mouth. I know this is totally falmmable, but they are things I learned from watching my mom, and DS has never *knocks on wood* been sick.

  • never, really,

If they fall somwhere dirty, I'll rinse them. Thats it.

  • sorry ladies, i have been lurking since DD is almost 3 months.

anyways, they have new ones at walmart (new to me anyway) that come with a little plastic container. you put water in there to the fill line then snap the paci on top and stick it in the microwave for 2 minutes! they come with 2 pacis and are only like 4 bucks!!! i love them!

  • I used to clean them every few weeks in the steam bags for my pump parts.  If it falls on the floor, I just rinse it off.

This last week....every..time she naps/uses it.  She now has thrush and I'm paranoid...grr!!

  • I just throw them in my microwave sanitizer bags every other day or so when I do the nipples for his bottles.

  • DD gets a new sterilized paci a couple times a day.  She has thrush though so I probably wouldn't be as crazy about it if she didn't
