  • This happened to my coworker (in reverse!)  She had trouble concieving her daughter and her twins.  It took a lot of time, money, and drugs.  When her twins were 4 months old, she found out she was pregnant!  It was a shock to her and everyone else.  She freaked out at first but now she is doing great.  Don't know how she does it!

  • My uterus and vagina hurts just thinking about it. LO isn't even out yet and I am closing down this baby making factory for quite some time.I couldn't do it.
  • We tried 2 years to have our DD, and the second time around, we had sex twice without condoms (what are the chances?), and I got pregnant, and DD and DS will be 13 months apart.  Everyone tells me I'm crazy, but it happened, and I'm dealing with it.  Even excited! :D I hope they'll grow to be really close.

When it happens to you, you deal with it.  Don't be too harsh, or it might happen to you! :P

    I'm calling BS.

They either saw 2 heartbeats or did - this echo thing she is talking about is total crap.

ETA: It should say didn't not did.  Oops!

  • My cousin miscarried in February at 18 weeks, and just had surgery two weeks ago for fibroids since that was the reason for m/c. We were texting the other day (she has been so awesome and supportive) and she said they can start trying again in October/December, so if we start trying for #2 then, we could be pg together. Tongue Tied

I dont know that I even want to have another, going through this the one time is plenty, and if I lose my mind and decide I want more kids (I am not good with kids and not a patient person - kids deserve better) I dont know that it would be that soon.

I don't got this... so because she is having three under two, people should not congratulate her? (unless there is something I am missing) I am sure this is not IDEAL for her but hey... it happens.

I agree. A doctor can tell if there are two heartbeats or one there is no in between.

I saw that and was like Indifferent

But really--what else can you say? I mean, she probably waited her 6 weeks PP to have sex and hopefully they did this on purpose and have the means to take care of the kids. Other than those requirements, what else is there really? Just has to be quite a shock for her Irish twins to be triplets!

Good point--if it was ultrasound, they would be able to see the HB's and sound wouldn't be necessary.

You know, all of the crazies who fake their pregnancies fake twins... Just sayin'.

The same situation happened with my friend when her twin boys were 2 months old. She was PG for the 2nd time... with twins again.

She now has 4 boys less than 1 year apart!

    I sh!t you not.

I went back and reread her post as well as the 0-3 post about it. I don't think she's making it all up, but I do think things were unclear at her ultrasound.

Now the "hoping for a boy this time!" in her siggy? Annoying.

I don't know anything about the echo thing - but when I had my early ultrasound at about as far along as she was, my doctor said, "I see a sac... and I think a flicker of a heartbeat." So, I think it's possible to not be sure.

Nope. It was actually the only thing that jumped out to me when I read her original post.

Go for it--once you're cleared by your OB, have all of the babies you want. My grandma had 7--pretty much all in a row, too. People have been doing it for a long time.

But I have always given the ::sideye:: to the strong gender preference/disappointment thing. It is annoying, petty, and shallow to me.

Actually it can seem like there are 2 heartbeats sometimes when there is only one.  It happened to me.

And get off this poor woman's back.  I'm sure it's not ideal for her but it happens.  she needs support not condemnation.  And for those who either didn't ask or didn't listen to their OBs, guess what?  A woman is 2-3 times more likely to get pregnant again within their baby's first year, than at any other time!

I wish I could be as enlightened as you.  Alas, I shallowly only want girl babies.  They're purty.
