I think that's completely reasonable. This is not a pregnancy announcement board. There are several of those, 1st tri or SAIF.
TTK 9/06 / TTC 10/08 / Twins 12/11 / Life Blog 5 REs + 3 surgical hysteroscopies for septum/lap + 3 failed IUIs IVF w/ICSI/AH & acu = BFP!, unexplained spontaneous m/c @ 8w2d (our little girl), FET w/acu = BFP!, B/G twins!, lost MP @19w, dx w/funneling cervix @20w, twins nearly lost to IC @21w, saved by rescue cerclage, 17P & 16w of bedrest Our twins born @36w4d via CS when A came foot first
If you've been a member of this board, have been around to give support, hugs and love and have celebrated with us when we've had good news, you will get the same.
If you haven't been there for others, why should we be there for you?

This. I'm happy for the "short-timers" but I'm much more likely to post and share with those who've "been along for the ride."
Married 08.06 Started TTC 05.08 Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH DH: perfect 1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p 2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
I am happy every time somebody posts that they got a positive, especially when they have had infertility problems.
Don't take this the wrong way, as it appears that you are a lurker who thinks that we know you well. But why do you feel the need to post your BFP on this board when you have 76 posts in the last year (which may or may not have been on this board)?
Let me guess, to give us hope?

Me too. To me, it is no different than walking up to a stranger and telling them you are pregnant and then expecting them to be happy and supportive of you.
Agree!

I do as well. I also look at their siggy for their IF history.
Ditto this. Anyone else find it just a little ironic that the only congrats in that post is by someone with even fewer posts? And now another post with advice too!

Good lord, you guys are typical caddy women. It's nice to see how supportive women can be. I can't sit here for hours posting all day so I can get points next to my name. Best of luck everybody.

so you don't have to time to post and support other women dealing with IF, but you do have time to let a bunch of random women know that you are pregnant......

I think you've got that backwards, we are supportive and you are "typically caddy". GL to you (you might want to get your P4 up a bit btw).

So apparently you aren't even a lurker...or else you would know how INCREDIBLY supportive this board is. Like I said...you get what you give...

Caddy???? Oh geez, you are terribly predictable. It's not just about your number of posts. It's about your LACK OF SUPPORT and the fact that you have never bothered to share your journey to even give us a chance to give a crap about your BFP.
Since you are evidently SO busy, run along now......

Ditto this. I know you are busy and all ML4, but you may want to find some time to do a little basic reproductive research. I'm not so sure your Doc has.
