Never been pregnant before. Stick out tongue

Were any of you ladies able to drive much toward the end of your pregnancy?

I am planning to attend classes as long as possible right up to the birth, and I am wondering if I can manage the few days of driving I would need to do. I'm planning to keep taking the bus as much as possible except for those days since I work downtown. The problem is my classes aren't downtown and I have to commute.

Am I gonna fit behind the wheel?

I was still driving when I was huge. With DS1, I drove myself to the hospital to have him! (I was induced, not in active labor).

I guess it kind of depends on how the baby develops, whether you carry out or in, high or low, etc. I drove right up until the day I delivered, but I carried in and low so I just looked fat my entire pregnancy. Everyone I know drove up until the end.

The only problem I would see is if you have short legs or arms that would make getting to the pedals or wheel more difficult. Otherwise you should be fine...

yeah, just push the seat back a little if you have to:) I drove and worked right up until the end and I was HUGE.

I haven't had any problems driving with either pregnancies, and carried very different with both. With Olivia, I was very wide, big ALL over and right in the middle. I did have to move the steering wheel up a little bit and my seat back a little with her, but nothing drastic. With this one, I'm more basketball like and carrying low, haven't had to make any adjustments for driving. I worked up to the day I had Olivia, and will again this time, and had no problems at all.
