  • A public pool -- yes, even if it is just a quick rinse off.  But I don't really bother if it is just our little kiddie pool.

  • rarely.  Sometimes it counts as bath day.

  • I usually if it's a chlorine pool, but right now we're doing lessons and swimming a lot at our Y. The pools there are salt water, so it's not nearly as rough on our skin and eyes. We've been skipping the rinse after using the salt water pools.
  • Yes! Otherwise her hair is an unruly mess and I can't take the tears and whining when I try to brush through it later.

  • yes always, even if she's screaming through it which she does when its really late.

  • Yes, but that's because DS has really bad excema that I want to make sure to wash the chlorine and other chemicals off of him.

  • Swim class - yes.  Swimming pool for fun  - yes - we do both of those things at the pool in the showers in the changing room.  We went to the lake last week in the morning and didn't get a chance to bath the girls until the next day and I hated it but they were so tired it just did not happen.  I always try and use the showers at the pool before we leave.

LOL. This is how I feel too. :-)

  • Public pool defnitely. DD fought me about it last night after swim lessons but it just makes combing her hair so much easier and she doesn't smell like chlorine (not a big fan of the smell right now). If we have been to the lake it depends on what time we get home/how cranky she is.

  • No. We usually swim at my parents' pool which has far less chlorine than mist public pools.
  • I really really try to, but it doesn't always happen.  We have late swimming lessons for DD#1 this summer and it's hard to do that, dinner and then baths.  If I don't do it that night, she takes a shower with me first thing in the morning.  We are moving (in a week) to a house with a pool.  I have to imagine we'll be in the pool almost every day.  I don't know we'll manage baths every night, but it's in our own pool so I feel less guilty.  I do prefer to wash all the chlorine and sunscreen off the kids, but it doesn't always happen.
