I know it's a little last minute, but we thought it would be fun to take them and relax a bit:) I'm going to search the state parks, etc. but didn't know if anyone had quick suggestions!
We looked into renting a cabin here a couple years ago but never got around to making concrete plans. There's a pool, mini golf, restaurant and playground. Its not too far a drive from Lancaster. Its a pretty nice place with mature tree, etc.
If oyu don't want to travel too far, Pinchot Park is near me and they have some really nice cabins.... Little Buffalo is a nice park and not too far either, there is a really nice pool there.
Another option to look at besides the state parks would be to check out vrbo.com in the raystown, poconos areas etc, to look for a cabin to rent....

We always went in the campground and used a tent, plus the house wasn't available years ago when we went, but we always like this campground.

This is pretty close to me and we go here for dinner and ice cream. The owner is a nice guy.

Looking at your link Leanne I realize this is the one I thought I was talking about! We've eaten at the restaurant and gotten ice cream too
