she swallowed paper

here we go - the first many mishaps in the mouth i am sure...but DD just threw up her whole morning bottle - and when i checked her mouth she had leftover pieces of what appears to me as the paper flap of the orejel package..i have my eyes on her at all times so not sure when she had time to gnaw and swallow the paper flap. is it a good thing that she threw it up?

Re: she swallowed paper

  • From my understanding paper can't harm them. If she threw it up then I think it is a good thing. Just watch her close today. You can always call poison control if you are worried and they can tell you more. HTH.

  • I swear DD always manages to get paper in her mouth, despite the fact that I watch her constantly.  I'm sure she's swallowed little bits of it.  As long as she doesn't seem to be choking on it, I don't think it's dangerous.

  • DD took a bite out of a piece of paper last week, while I was watching her and didn't realize it.  She's fine.  Its fiber I guess.
  • Jude eats paper constantly.

    Oops.

  • paper is delicious, and full of fiber. Sara does it all the time, she prefers the delicate flavors of toilet paper freshly unrolled, but enjoys mail as well. I'm constantly digging stuff out of her mouth, she's like a puppy.?
