Anyone try Pre-Seed?

Please share your thoughts/opinions/experiences..

Thanks!

Re: Anyone try Pre-Seed?

  • Our BFP cycle was not one using pre-seed, but we enjoyed it. I liked it because it didn't ever feel sticky and it evaporated over time instead of turning gummy like some lubes do.

  • it's slimey.   only really needed if you lack EWCM.   We never ended up pg the cycles we used it.

  • we used it the cycle we got pregnant, but it only took us 2 cycle to get pregnant so i'm not sure how accurate it is, but i liked it a lot.

  • Thanks ladies! I hope more people answer. I want to know if everyone thinks it works or if it is a waste of money.

I do get EWCM and we're just now starting to TTC.

  • I bought it and never used it. Got PG on second cycle.

In my opinion if you produce your own ewcm and don't regularly have to use lubrication for intercourse it's not worth it. It does nothing to increase your odds of conception it's just a sperm friendly lubricant. I wouldn't waste the $14 a tube if you don't need it.

This. I liked it, but I've always needed extra lube (sorry if TMI)

  • Sorry, another question.

What is a good amount of EWCM?  I was stalking some other people's charts and it looks like a couple of women get  it for 7-10 days.   I only get it for about 2-4 days.

And we do use lube throughout my cycle because I do get really dry.

  • We used it and really liked it. I do not particularly have a moisture problem but with the increased frequency of sex while TTC I sometimes needed a little help to make things more comfortable.

***I did not buy it thinking it would make me get PG I just needed a sperm friendly lube but I did get PG the first cycle using it (Only cycle #2 trying) So I am not about to say it helped me get PG (I must stress this lube is not meant to boost fertility! it is simply a sperm friednly lube), but it did help the process to be more comfortable.

The texture was great, it felt like my own natural CM, the applicators it came with were very helpful too. I will say this though, you don't always need as much as it says to use, so play around with the amount to find out how much works for you. I would say it was a good buy.

  • I wasn't producing any EWCM, or much CM at all, and used lube pre-ttc, so I used pre-seed as both a sperm-friendly lube, and to help with hospitable CM. I didn't insert it internally the cycle I got my bfp, just used it as lube.

2 - 4 days is plenty if that is when you are O'ing..

DH and I would occassionally use pre-seed if we thought that maybe I'd be getting fertile soon, before my EWCM kicked in.   Once I had EWCM, I didn't bother wasting pre-seed.   Also, once we were sure I'd O'd, we'd go back to plain old regular lubes.    Only used Pre-seed around O time.

  • I attribute Pre-Seed to getting my BFP, although I obviously can't be sure that's what did it.  But after 11 cycles with no EWCM, we tried Pre-Seed and got pregnant.  So I obviously think it works, but if you're already getting EWCM on your own, I'm not sure you really need it.
  • DH and I loved preseed and used it other times and not just during or around O time. We plan on continuing to use it when needed. Smile

  • we used it the entire time while trying to conceive and we thought it was great... a little advice that i learned the hard way... a little goes a long way :)

  • Pre-Seed and an Instead cup is what I used when I got pregnant with DD.

Us, too.  Though, meds+IUI is to credit for this PG.

If lack of spem-friendly CM is the problem (if you have EWCM around O, your body is doing what it is supposed to do), it may help.

If you are using not sperm-friendly lubes and those are harming your DH's sperm, it may help.

It is not a magic bullet for most fertility issues, but if it makes intercourse more enjoyable, why not?

  • I used it and it worked! I dont have a problem with CM, but we were trying every possible method I could think of to conceive. I agree with the comments above though, you DO NOT need as much as they give you. Definitely worth the $14 if you think it could help....
