Last night, my DH was talking with Dell c/s (yet again) about our replacement computer which is having problems with the microphone port. Well, they're trying this and that, and nothing is working. The c/s guy (their call center is over in India - hence the outsourced post title...) keeps pressing mute, coming back after 30 seconds, trying something else, pressing mute, etc. One time, however, after yet another attempt to fix this thing which inevitably fails, c/s guy goes to press the mute button, apparently is a bit slow on this, and says 'F*ck'.
Yes, that's right - Dell customer service may not be able to fix the piece of dreck you purchased, but they can swear in American.

I can swear in more languages than I can understand, too.

when DH worked help desk at his college i'd often go visit him. his boss was cool and i just sat at a back computer and hid from people.
i LOVED when he fail muted. you'd hear the student on the other line start laughing and say "yeah, that's what i said!"
I'm pretty sure that I can safely say that this will be our last Dell. They want to replace the motherboard, and mind you, this is a replacement computer that they sent us after 7 mo months (or more) of dickering over it's predecessor. We'd been very happy with them in the past. I don't know what's happened.

They flew my midsection out to India, and I got the baby back 3 weeks later. I did have to provide a pre-paid frb, however.
(actually, from what I understand, India has rather decent medical professionals)
Which is awesome, except for the whole uterus leaving the body prospect. lol
