yesterday, DD woke up with a basically dry diaper. she still wakes/nurses overnight, but i've got no clue how many times it would have been that night. over the day, she had 5-7 wet dipes (DCP report, but that's a change about every 2 waking hours in sposies), and ate/drank as normal.
she's never been one of those epic wetters who can only make it overnight in a fitted w/extra inserts and woolies. but still, that is really unusual, isn't it? does it merit a pedi call if there are no other signs of anything going on?
Re: this is really weird, right?
It's normal for LOs to stay dry longer around this age, so I wouldn't worry too much. We've noticed Ari soaks his fitted all at once around 11-12 now & is dry the rest of the night. He's still nursing a good bit too.
We EC so I'm able to see some significant urine output upon waking too.
I don't think it's that weird. My DD has randomly woken up with dry diapers, even when she was a lot younger and even though most nights she was a super soaker. Typically the first diaper of the day tended to be completely soaked if she stayed dry at night. DS hasn't had a completely dry diaper, but there have been some that were just kinda wet - far less than his normal output.
If it's just one night and just overnight, no big deal. If her output throughout the day is down, I'd worry.
naked is always the best time to go
