hope you don't mind me butting in from TTCAL. I figured this was a good place to ask and I apologize in advance if you get this all the time (I scrolled, didn't see anything).

If you had a m/c, how long did it take you to conceive after your loss? Did you use anything/do anything to help?

I'm on my 3rd cycle post m/c and hoping this is the one. ;-)

It was my third cycle but 5 months post m/c and d&c. My AF took forever to come at first and then my cycles were all wacky. I was getting frustrated after my 2nd cycle, but then DH and I had a talk that we both just needed to CHILL OUT! We decided to just relax and have a lot of sex and if we still didn't get KU I was going to start charting...mainly b/c my cycles were crazy. GL!

we do get this question, but I don't mind answering it. I think we all remember wanting the answer to it.

We started trying after my first AF, then after 3 BFN's we took clomid and low and behold it worked the first time! You can read in my siggy for more details. Good Luck to ya!

It was our first cycle trying, but third cycle post m/c. We were told to wait for 2 AFs to show before trying again. We used OPKs. I wouldn't try again without them. It took all the guess work out of the process!

We took three months off (mandatory by the dr) and then another 3 months off because DH wasn't ready. When we started trying, we tried for 6 months. I got pregnant about 2 weeks before my year-anniversary of my first BFP.

We were lucky and got pregnant on the 1st cycle we started trying after my m/c. The only thing I did differently was use OPKs.

I was a religious charter/OPK user for all three. I took vitex in the cycle that led this BFP.

We got pg 3 months after my d&c. We were told to wait until after 2 AFs. We had an IUI. I used the cbefm and regular opks to help time the IUI (my RE wanted to keep things simple and I wasn't on any meds). I also took mucinex at the beginning of my cycle to help with CM. I also did the pinapple core smoothies both times I got pg. Not sure if they really work, but they taste good so I figured it couldn't hurt. GL!

I waited one cycle with my first, it took a year from my second (we did IUI) and then 5 months after my third.(IVF)

I would suggest they do a hysteroscopy to make sure everything is cleared up in there first and everything is all out.

With my last miscarriage I had 2 cycles and they did the hysteroscopy, they found I had left over placenta in there. With my second miscarriage I had a d&c. I had scarring in there. So I suggest you ask to do one to make sure.

I am a strong advocate for this test. If you read my blog you will understand why.

It took 5 months but I only had 2 cycles. I have PCOS and do not ovulate regularly. I took provera to jump start a period and then clomid/progesterone. That worked for us. good luck.

After mc#1 - 3 months, I think. After mc #2, 5 months. After mc #2, my regular doctor AND midwife both suggested acupuncture to help get everything back on track. I did 10 sessions and got pregnant.

Also after 4 months, I got so annoyed with being angry/frustrated/emotional when I got AF that I went and bought a CBEFM on ebay. I got pregnant on my first cycle. (I never did get a peak day, only high days and we BD' until after I saw EWCM.)

I didn't temp. Temping stresses me out and I don't wake up at the same time everyday, plus I am a fitful sleeper.

I worry about this since I've had 2 c/s and know that I had scar tissue from the first. Can only guess that there's more now. Had no problems TTC #1 and #2, too.

It took us about 22 months to conceive again. We ended up seeing a fertility clinic at 12 months post-m/c and started treatment with them about 6 months after that. We went through a few rounds of IUI and medicated timed-cycles. The final medicated timed-cycle worked before we moved on to IVF.

I took 3 months to heal emotionally and then 5 months to conceive this baby. I charted temp & cervical mucus, ovulation tests and preseed. Honestly, the month we conceived I had kind of given up and it was my worst month of accuracy at charting and what not.

It was our 2nd cycle after the m/c. It took a while for AF to show up after the m/c (eventually had to take something to bring it on), so it was about 4-5 months total.

ETA- I was charting and using OPKs for those two cycles post-m/c. That definitely helped since my ovulation dates had been over the place.

First BFP I concieved on my 2ns cycle, I wasn't charting or anything. After my miscarriage we waited 3 cycles before trying and got pregnant on our 2nd cycle. The first cycle I wasn't charting or using opks. The cycle I got pregnant I charted, used opks, took extra folic acid, worked out a lot and dh took vitamin c. My d&c was December 16th, we were told to wait three months, so we didn't start trying again until mid-March. I ovulated around the time we started trying in March, but it didn't work out. I got pregnant in April. So, I guess you can say I got pregnant on the second cycle after our loss.

I did the digital OPKs with the smiley faces (since they are so easy to interpret) and charted. And this may not be for you, but I also went to the religious store and bought a St. Gerard medal and prayer card. I have worn the medal everyday since the beginning of April and said the prayer too. Like I said, that is not in line with everyone's beliefs but it helped me stay calm about the whole TTCAL process.

I got pg the first month after my first loss, but lost that baby at 18 wks. Got pg 5 months after a 2nd tri delivery, lost that baby at 8 wks. I got pg with this baby one month after my last D&C and so far so good (Im 34 wks) We had been trying for two years to conceive our sticky baby. It took us from August 08 to December 09 to conceive the one that "stuck"..

After the first m/c I got a BFP the second cycle and all I was doing was charting and trying to use OPK's.

After the second m/c it took over a year( 10 cycles). I had tried OPK's, CBEFM, pre-seed and charting for most of those cycles. The only thing I did with the BFP cycle was charting and I used soy isoflavones(my second cycle using them) to help ovulate sooner.

I miscarried in July of '08 and got pregnant in January '10. I guess that was about 17 months. During that time, I had 4 IUI's and after taking a break from my RE, we were pregnant in 6 months, with only the use of metformin. We had actually already scheduled our adoption meeting with an attorney and had started filling out the paperwork, but found out we were pregnant (with no intervention except met). I'm sorry about your m/c and I hope you get a beautiful BFP very soon!!

It took us a while because AF didn't come on her own and so I had to go on hormones... My D&C was in the beginning of Dec, after taking hormones I got my first AF in the ending of May... but I got a new job that sent me away for out of state training so I we didn't TTC until after I came back and pg on the first cycle (which was basically my 6th cycle, got pg after Oct AF)

Sorry for your loss.

It took 12 months to get pregnant again, my cycles are short (22-25 days) so I loss count on exactly how many cycles that was. We tried EVERYTHING. It wasn't until we gave up that it happened.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I had a D&C in March '10 (see siggy for details). My dr. indicated that there was no physical reason to wait to try again, but to make sure we were emotionally ready. We tried again and fell pregnant a few weeks after the D&C. I am now 15 1/2 weeks along.
