1) everyone is different, I never did. I know others who did around 5 or 6 months
2) stretch marks are genetic- chances are if your mom had them, you'll have them. That being said, I loved body butter (from the body shop) to help with the tight and itchy feeling of my stomach stretching. Others swear by oils like vitamin E and cocoa butter.
1. When do you start leaking? I can't remember when it first happened to me, but it was pretty early. I'd say Dex is probably right with 5-6 months because I don't think it was until after I got back from the Bahamas and I was 21 weeks then. For me it was on and off, but not very much and not at all consistent.
2. Also - what do you recommend for stretch marks? I agree with Dex on this one as well. I think it's all genetics. If you're going to get them, you're going to get them no matter what you use. I have some on my hips, but none on my belly (yet!)
1. When do you start leaking? I never did with Rowen until after my milk came in 5 days after he was born. This time I still haven't started leaking so I'm thinking it will probably be the same. (Lets hope my milk comes in sooner this time though!)
2. Also - what do you recommend for stretch marks? I agree that it is probably genetics... But, my mother has so many stretch marks that he stretch marks have stretch marks. And I'm totally not kidding. I only got a couple on my upper thighs with Rowen and I have a couple new ones to match this time around (and they are very small and hard to see). So I'm going to continue to do everything I can NOT to get them! I used Burts Beeswax Belly Butter and I LOVE it! It keeps my belly super soft and really helps with the itchiness too.
1. I did around 22ish weeks. I have only leaked a couple times, and only when I was asleep.
2. I have nothing. I had stretch marks from getting bigger in high school. However this time I am getting none, but I am just going to say the stretch marks from gaining weight are from being pregnant.
1. Lefty started leaking at around 25 weeks, but was lazy later on. Righty held out until E was born.
2. I dont want to talk about stretch marks. Obviously what I used didn't work. I had none until about 38 weeks then a stretch mark explosion went off. I don't think my tummy will see daylight again. and aparently genetics didnt give a rats a$$ about me. I'm the only female in my family that had them...
1. My boobs never leaked pre-preg. Now, every once-in-a-while when I'm nursing my other boob will leak, but nothing major.
2. I thought I got stretch marks around week 37, but it turned out that my shirt was just a bit abrasive... weird, I know. I used cocoa butter religiously. The only place I have stretchies are on my boobs, but they grew 2 cup sizes during pregnancy and another after Mari was born. Now my tetas look like a sun that's drawn by a six year old. Not pretty, but I'm thankful I don't have a giant one running down the 16 year old mistake of a tattoo I have under my belly button.
