Stabbing pain in the crotch region

For the last 2 weeks I have had this stabbing pain on the left side of my crotch and it hurts to walk, lift my leg or even rollover in bed. When I ice it at night I am better but only for a few hours and the pain comes back. I think it is symphysis pubis dysfunction but I do not hear clicking. All the other symtoms match though. Anyone else go through this or am I the only lucky person?

Re: Stabbing pain in the crotch region

  • I haven't experienced this to the degree that you are describing, but a couple of times on my daily walk I have had to cut the walk short due to a stabbing pain.  It goes away fairly quickly and has only happened a couple of times so far. :-/  I'm sorry to hear you are having this awful pain.

  • I had it constantly for the last few months of pg. My dr said she was pushing on a nerve. I constantly had an ice pack on it (i kept it on under my desk) and sometimes it helped to sit straddling an excercise  ball. you kind of lean forward so you're pushing your crotch on the ball, for some reason the pressure of that helped.

    good luck! it sucks

  • There were times it was so bad that I honestly felt like I was going to feel a little hand high fiving me after using the restroom.
