DD isn't into eating anything with chunks

A week ago I tried to give DD some third foods, and she opened her mouth and coughed until the chunks were gone.

Today I gave her a Baby Mum-Mum and she chewed on it but when she got any bit of it in her mouth she coughed and then threw up.

When did your LO start eating more chunks?

Re: DD isn't into eating anything with chunks

  • I've only ever given DS chunks and he's actually chewing them properly now, but I think this is one of those "every baby is different" kinds of things.

I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet though. If you're the one feeding the chunks to her, maybe they're going too far back or setting off her gag reflex so she's coughing them back up.

Have you tried allowing her to feed herself? Babies learn faster how far back they can put food when they're able to feed themselves.
