When to go up a diaper size?

DD has had a few diapers in the past couple of days where the poop goes up her back. Does that mean she's ready to go up a size in diapers?

That's pretty much the criteria we used with DS...if we had more than 2 or 3 blowouts in a day or so...we figured it wasn't him, it was the diaper size

I agree that it might just be the lovely runny NB poop. But, trying a bigger diaper couldn't hurt. Holly was in NB diapers for about 8 weeks. She had such a tiny butt and waist! Although I know some babies skip them altogether.

What kind of diapers are you using? I found that I liked Huggies (in the red package) NB's the best, because they have an elastic band across the waist in the back. For 1's and 2's though, I preferred Pampers Swaddlers again. Go figure. :-)

Keira would poop out of all diapers except for Pampers Swaddlers until she was in a size 2. Sometimes poop just goes everywhere, and the diaper can't stop it.

Ahhh, those days.... enjoy them. They go by too fast.

Hughes, we're using Pampers Swaddlers. I didn't realize that Huggies had elastic in the back. Very good to know! I may have to give those a shot at some point.

And, yeah, I now think we're just at that lovely NB phase, too. I swear, all this kid does is poop!
