OMG!! Cousin's wife tried to fake a triplet pregnancy!!

I thought these things only happened online, but apparently my cousin's wife took it to a whole new level!
I was at a different cousin's wedding this spring, and we have a big family, so we tend to only get together at weddings and funerals. My cousin and I were talking (I hadn't seen him in a year) and he told me he eloped a few weeks ago. Wow - eloped? It's his first marriage, and I didn't know he was that serious with anyone, but like I said, I hadn't seen him in a year. He then tells me he met her 3 months ago on a dating website, and they got married so quickly because she was pregnant - with triplets - and she was on an IUD!! Okay, if that was the case, they should buy lottery tickets because it's about a 1 in gazillion chance of that happening. All I could say was "congratulations". Then he shows me the ultrasound - which is on regular white paper (not the ultrasound paper). Okay, a little strange, but maybe it's a photocopy. (FYI - she wasn't at the wedding - had to work). So, my cousin was on cloud 9! The entire story didn't make sense. After a few days of thinking about it, I googled triplet pregnancy ultrasound and - wouldn't you know it - the ultrasound I saw was printed off of someone's blog!! At this point, I'm thinking she's a complete whack-job! Well, I then hear through the family she was "air lifted to Boston for cramping and bleeding." Okay, there is NO WAY this would happen for a 1st trimester pregnancy, and the fact that we have one of the best OB hospitals in the country about 10 minutes from their house. Now I'm sure she's a complete looney bird - and she completely faked her pregnancy to get married!!! Wondering what is going to happen next in this soap opera.

This. And who was there when she was supposedly "air lifted" to the hospital? I can imagine that people may be raising eyebrows in your family and maybe just being nice and not saying anything. I don't "get" the whole faking a pregnancy (esp. a twin or triplet pregnancy) thing. Don't they think that people are going to figure it out?
A few people do - his father( my uncle) is one of them. My uncle sat down with him and had a talk with him after finding out the u/s was fake. I don't know how it went - I hope he runs for the hills!!
As far as the airlifting goes - I don't know who was there. I'm sure no one.
