When did you guys do your showers?

Did you do them earlier b/c of mutilples?

My OB has told me not to travel after Labor Day (20ish weeks).  All of my family lives in another state and we were going to travel home for Labor Day, so that is the only time we could do a shower with my family.  Should we do one that early?  It just seems so early to do one at 20 weeks.

Thoughts?

    The general rule of thumb seems to be to have them by 28w if you're having twins. I was thrown two showers--one at 26w and one at 29w, and I really wouldn't have wanted one any later than that. I think if you're traveling for your shower, 20w makes perfect sense.

    I think traveling at 20wks will def be ok. I haven't been told this at all. Unless you have cervix or any other issue going on you should be ok. Most of the women on the board do theirs at 28 wks. I'll have both of mine at 28wks.

    Mine were planned before we knew we were having twins, this is a really busy summer for us so the only weekends that worked were this month the 18th & 31st (ill be 32w & 34w).. so I'm expecting to be somewhat miserable at both of them. 

    I def. wish I would have had them out of the way a month ago, cause I'm getting a little worn out.

    I had mine at 26 weeks and then ended up going on bedrest the next day! I vote the earlier the better too!

    We did ours around 27 weeks but all my family/friends live close.

    I would say do it early.  I thought 23 weeks was too early for mine, but thanks to the way things worked out (bedrest and pprom) my boys will be 4 weeks old when I have mine.

    :(  Poor B!  Your boys had other plans. 

    I was supposed to have mine at 25 weeks, but I felt it was too early (I was on bedrest by then) so we have pushed it back to 33 weeks.  I realize that I am taking chances, but that's just how things worked out.  No biggie - as long as I can stay out of the hospital until then.  :)

    I had mine at 30 weeks. I was definitely uncomfortable by then, but it was manageable.

    I'm having mine at 26 weeks.  My goal was to have my showers early so we could have everything ready by the beginning of the 3rd trimester.  It looks like we will.
