Maybe it's just because I'm from Southern California and there is a large Spanish speaking population here, but that looks like a female version of Jose to me and would thus be pronounced ho-zette or jo-zette.

doesn't really matter because half the people who see it will say it one way and half will say it the other, and it'll never be pronounced right by everyone
Just reading it in my head, I pronounce it with an S sound.
My brain knows it's supposed to be an S sound.
But when I say it out loud, it just comes out w/ a Z sound.
Unless I'm really trying to say it right, then I say it with an S sound, but when I do this, it sounds like I'm OVERpronouncing it with a French accent, and it sounds silly.

This, unfortunately.

This is my name. I pronounce it with the z sound, and go by Josie (Jo-z) for short. Very few people I've met use the s sound for Josette, though it happens a lot for Josie.

me too.

The name is French, and I know that the original French pronunciation would be with an s sound.
Kinda like this:

However, Americans are more likely to pronounce it with a z sound.

I say it with more of an "s" sound.
I love this name! I have a friend named Abigail Josette.
