Leaving LO with Grandparents for a week?

My bf wants to take a week long vacation without DS when he will be 6 months old... Has anyone here left LO for overnights? How long and how did it go?

    At this age or at 6 months I could never do it! I had to have surgery a month ago and had to spend the night at the hospital without DS and I cried no way I could or would do a week but that's me.

    This. We are considering having my Mom watch him for 1 night on our 5th wedding anniversary...15 days before his first birthday. Even that seems scary to me.

    Our first overnight is happening in 2 weeks, and our first weekend away will be when she is 9 months old.  No experience yet, but it probably would go fine - likely you would have a much bigger issue with it than your baby, especially if they are familiar with whoever is watching them.  

     It's a very personal decision when you are ready to be away from your baby - as you can see, a lot of other women aren't ready at all - I could have easily done a night or two away by now, it just hasn't happened yet.  No need to feel guilty if you do want a few nights away at 6 months.  My neighbor went on a 5 day trip to Mexico when her baby was around 6 months old (but her husband was with the baby, so a little different) and she was just fine with it.
