I guess a diaper stacker should contain, well, diapers. I see a lot of them attached to the crib, though. In our nursery, the crib and the dresser/changer are on opposite walls. I don't want to leave baby while I grab a diaper. So putting it on the crib is not an option. Hanging it with 3M hooks to the dresser would be an option, but then I have to bend down to get out a diaper. That's not ideal either. I could hang it on a door, I suppose, but then it masks the paint job on the doors (DH did a great job with the doors; I'm pretty proud of them!)
I have this https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2953120 for downstairs with its own stash of diapers/wipes and accessories. Should I buy another for the end of the dresser/changer and then use the diaper stacker for receiving blankets (then I could tie it on the crib)? Or do you have another suggestion for how to easily store diapers close to the dresser/changer. I want to use the stacker in some way since it's part of the set, but I just don't know that putting diapers in it is the best use of the piece.
What do you think??
Re: Diaper stacker...where to put it
What about hanging it on a door knob? Would that still mask the paint? The only other thing I could think of is hanging it from a nail on the wall somewhere discreet.
It has two loops to hang it from, and is about 12" across, so a door knob is out. I don't know that discreet will be an option. I might have to suck it up and cover up one of the doors. There are three in the nursery; the main entrance/exit door, the closet door, and a second narrow, walk-in closet door. The sides of the doors that face into the nursery all are painted green & brown, and just look so nice....*sigh*
So what do I put receiving blankets in .... a canvas storage bin??
Gotta use the diaper stacker....mom bought it for us. She'd be offended if we didn't.
Nice idea.... that might work out okay. It'll cover up some of the border, but the border matches the nursery bedding set, so I guess it's okay.
Where did you keep wipes/powders/lotions whatever else you need? You might have had a changing table...we opted for the dresser/changer combined (and screwed the changing pad into the back of the dresser).
