Doc doesn't seem to care/mind. I was about 20 lbs overweight to start. I'm sure I've really lost weight due to my drastic stop of no more beer. God, I miss beer.
I've pretty much maintained for now, though I don't know how. I was sick the first few months, but I've been eating like it's going out of style and was only up .4 as of yesterday's appt.
I'm up 8-9 lbs so far, as of my last appointment on Wednesday. I am 50 lbs overweight, so I'm not sure if that is a factor. I never experiences m/s or appetite changes. My dr is not worried at all, and hasn't mentioned weight to me once, even when I walked in overweight at my first appointment.
But...why does it matter? We are all different. There is really no comparing your weight gain to other people's because you have no idea how many of us may have been underweight to begin with, who is retaining more water weight, etc.
At my last appt. I had finally turned the corner and gained 3.5 pounds, but I was still down 10lbs from starting. I've had really awful m/s though that I'm just starting to really get over (knock on wood).
OMG ~~Classic!! nice one!! Truly the weight gain question is sooo debatable with ALL of us. I have gained 18 lbs and I'm 23 weeks. However, I was totally underweight when I got pregnant so everyone is different. If you are eatting healthy (organic is great) and excercising the weight should come off after birth. but again No two pregnancies are the same! The most important factor is that your LO is doing well and your Dr is happy with your overall weight gain to date.
I lost 7lbs when I first got pregnant from morning sickness. I'm almost back up to my prepregnancy weight. So I haven't gained any "new" weight yet. But the doctor doesn't say anything because baby is actually measuring big... So all is well
As of my 23 week appointment I had gained 14 lbs. The doctor's happy, and the baby's been the exact weight that she should be at every appointment. I was small in the first place, and never had any morning sickness, so I'm supposed to gain more than most. Here's hoping.
-lost 40 lbs & can fit into my college clubbing clothes. Par-tay! -lost all cellulite -grew bigger boobs -got awesome/toned abs -perfect & perky butt -thick, voluminous, shiny hair -glowing, clear skin
I'm super-awesome & winning this game!
Mental note: you are awesome.
But I'm sorry to say that you are not winning at this game, because I lost 45 lbs, and not only fit into my college clubbing clothes, but actually WENT clubbing, and got hit on because I looked so incredible and not pregnant. And I recently won a tri-athalon. Like, yesterday.
I'm at 23 weeks but haven't gained any weight yet. I had lost a pound or two and i think i gained one pound back. But i have an appointment on wednesday so maybe i'll have gained more.
