Half (or less) positive opks?

Just wondering what everyone thinks about this...

I have read that if half the test line is darker than the control it is positive.  The last two days I've had tests that are just as dark as the control line, but only on the edge.  As if it is a thin line. A third or so.  It's weird. 

I've never gotten a true positive opk, and was wondering what you all thought.

    In that case you might want to try a digi for back-up?

    I've been considering that.  Im just so cheap. 

    It has been on two different brands, which is why it's so weird.  I prob should break down and buy some digitals though.  Thanks

    I feel ya on the cheap. What time of day are you taking your OPK's? Are you using internet cheapie (dip strips?)

    Yes, internet cheapies.  Wondfo and the ones from opktests.com.  I don't do them until afternoon, usually late afternoon.  And I try to hold it as long as I can.  I'm probably drinking too much water, etc. 

    I usually only do once a day, but yesterday it was so weird that I did twice and used diff brands, and they both did the same thing.  Strange

    When I got my +OPK (the cycle I got my BFP), my positive looked exactly like that -- the left edge of the test line was darker than the control and that was it.  My instructions said that can be counted as a positive though, and obviously it worked. haha  I'd count it as positive and go sex it up!

    Oh, and FWIW, I use internet cheapies from Amazon.  Good luck!

    I would keep an eye on them, do these happen right near when FF gives you crosshairs? This past month I didn't get a positive, but there were 2 ALMOST positive OPK's right before my O date. I will be marking those as positive for me next cycle unless I get an actual positive and just adding that to the notes.

    Not sure yet.  FF's crosshairs avoid me like the plague.  And when they do come, they usually get taken away or moved. 

    Thanks everyone for your thougths though.  Glad I'm not the only one who gets the weird tests!
