Those who took prometrium..stopping?

To those who took prometrium....when did your Dr have you stop? I had my 12 week appt and I have another 3 pills left so I'm just gonna finish them off.

Did you notice any side effects from stopping? like increase in energy!!

stopped at 12 weeks. so happy to be done with the mess! haven't really noticed any changes.

no new bloodwork. although i think i had some bloodwork done a couple weeks before that so i knew my prog level was fine. of course, i was still nervous about stopping.

My dr has me tapering off instead of every day I'm now doing it every other day. So far the thing I've noticed is on the days I haven't taken it is a headache and dizziness. It's slowly getting better but definitely no fun. I too am ready to be done with this messy stuff

My RE and OB had me stop in week 8, as apparently the latest research shows that the placenta takes over progesterone production by then. I had more energy and loved the "cleaner" feel ?you know where! Spotting can be totally normal, but I did not have any.

I started going off it at week 12. Yesterday I took my final pill of it. I haven't noticed feeling any different. I have had a bit more energy but I think that's also because I have been farther along in pregnancy. He wasn't going to run more blood work but did since my spotting got a bit worse. The blood work came back great and my progesterone looks normal. Now I have to start going off Metformin.

I will go off after the 13th week. I get blood tests every Tues. I took prometrium while pregnant with dd. didn't notice any difference when I went off of it.

I'm taking progesterone suppositories. Today will be my last day taking them every day and the doctor has me using them every other day for the next week to ween myself off. I'm a little nervous about it but I feel pretty good. I'll let you know if there are any side effects as I start not taking them. My doc hasn't done any more tests since my last test was normal about a month ago.

I stopped taking the suppositories at 8w. But my blood work a few days later showed a drop in my progesterone. They immediatly put me on injectables. I just found out that they are going to keep me on injectables till either 18w or 32w.

I stopped at 12 weeks. For my last week I went every other day for 3 days. I experienced one day of severe dizziness and two days of minor headaches. I am not as tired as I was when I was taking it.
