Help me with eating...I am losing my appetite

I just realized I ate a bagel & 2 apples all day today. I have no appetite at all. Anyone else? I am kinda worried, I hope the baby is ok...& yesterday I didn't have much either. How do I help this.

  • Drink a protein shake or even Ovaltine. You're fine :) If you stress over it, it will only make it worse.

  • me too! For me it's because of the heat, so I've been trying to find lots of cold food to eat, that seems to help, if it's anything warm I have absolutely no desire to eat it. Cold fruit, lots of salad with some sort of protein on it, popsicles, frozen lemonade etc..... and keeping myself cool seem to help

  • I go through spurts, don't worry, in a week you won't be able to stop eating.

    Protein shake is a good idea, easy way to get good calories.  Nibble on some cheddar cheese too.

  • The same thing happens to be every so often.  It's good that you're aware of it.  Try to eat something with protein.  Cheese, milk, peanut butter crackers, apples with peanut butter.

    It should go back to normal soon, I go from no appetite to bottomless pit and back again.

  • I feel kindof the same as you, however, mine suddenly is that whatever DH suggests we have doesn't sound good to me.  Food that are normally my favorite don't even seem appealing at the moment.  Not really an aversion to them, just not a huge desire to eat them right now.

    I'd say just go for whatever does seem appealing and keep taking those PNV's.  That's my plan for now.

  • I lost my appetite for an entire month after giving birth.  I didn't want anything with a lot of flavor or salt.  I was (and still am) breastfeeding and keeping up the calories is key so I had to drink Ensure's.  I believe each little bottle has around 250 calories.
  • I feel the same way.  I have not had dinner in a few days.  I am just not hungry at all.  breakfast I am eating cereal, lunch was a bagel and now nothing, I am not hungry at all.  nothing sounds good, even though I can hear/feel my stomach rumbling just not hungry.
  • Watch Food Network. After an hour of Top Chef or The Next Food Network Star and I am STARVING. I can always find my appetite watching others eat. Big Smile
