Boy or Girl? poll

I know we all want healthy, happy babies but we are human and I am sure your mind as swayed to one side.

So...do you hope to have a boy or a girl?

I would love a little boy so he can be a big brother and also because I haven't had the boy experience yet. I am excited about the possibility of having a little mini baby like my DH. Besides, DH was too adorable as a little boy!

ETA: DH is adamant that it is a girl also, he says he "just knows". So now it definitely needs to be a boy otherwise I may never hear the end of it.

This one I am kind of hoping for another boy but I think it will be a girl. I would love to have 2 boys and a girl in the end but as long as they are healthy I don't really care, of course.

I am positive that Reptar is a boy, and will laugh hysterically at my crazy self if he is a she. Smile

I don't actually have a preference, but DH wants an older boy SO badly. I just hope that we can have the three we want, and that I get one of each.

I love that you have such a cute nickname for your baby! I tried to get DH to think of a cute name with me and he just looked at me like Indifferent and said "baby". Haha. I don't think he understands....

Def. want a boy. I think it is, this pg is so different already from Lizzie's, the chinese gender thing says boy ( and it was right with DD), and that's everyone's gut feeling too.

We won't find out til 24 weeks, though. My OB always waits till then so she can get the best shot.

24 weeks? Wow. So I assume you must have waited until 24 weeks then for your DD? You must be one patient person.

I really want a girl at some point, but this is our first so I am honestly okay with either. If this one is a boy then I'll be wanting a girl next.

I truly don't have an overall preference, but I do have moments when I prefer one over the other. For example, I babysit a little girl who is the biggest whiner crying brat I have ever met. While she is in the midst of her little tirades, I think to myself that I really hope I have a boy. On the other hand, my nieces were building a "Barbie City" in my mom's living room yesterday and in that moment I couldn't help but think that I miss Barbie Cities and I hope I have a girl so I can do that again. :-)

Good question! I always wanted at least one boy and one girl and for the boy to be older. It would be a whole different family dynamic than we are used too and I like to be different. Stick out tongue DH, myself and all of my sets of cousins except one have the girl as the oldest.

However, all of my friends, cousins and sister-in-law all have one child and all have boys. So again to be different...I wouldn't mind having a girl first.

As far as DH goes, he hasn't specified a preference. But it would definitely have an effect on what we call this baby. I've been drinking a lot of sparkling peach juice, so Peaches is appropriate. But I also like the idea of Acorn (our angel baby was also a variety of nut...goes with the territory!). I would feel like a terrible mother if we turned out to have a boy and had been calling him Peaches throughout his early months...talk about a rough childhood if that ever got out!

DH says boy all the way. Boy Boy Boy. Calls the peanut Tyler (our favorite boy name so far), and there is just no way it is anything but a boy.

Me, in reality, it doesn't matter. But I secretly hope for a girl because it would defy the odds. My family is all boys (Grandma had 5 boys, Uncle has 7 boys [neither had any girls], my mom had 3 boys and me, my brother has a boy, etc), and DH's immediate family is heavy with boys, although his extended family has more girls than mine... and I think DH would be cute with a daughter.

Honestly I don't care. It's our first and my H is a very boy heavy family 3 brothers and all boy cousins, so he's positive its a boy. I joke that it should be a girl cause if we have a daughter she doesn't need an older brother with all those Uncles. I feel boy though. We're not finding out so we'll see!

I have a feeling I'm having a girl. This pregnancy is a lot different than the ones I had with my boys. With them i just had a headache like the 2nd month. No sickness, just easy pregnancies. This one I have been sick a lot.

with my first pregnancy everyone told me I was having a girl since I had a difficult pregnancy. Which we did have one, alothough she did not make it home from the hospital. The chinese gender chart said girl last time and is saying the same this time. I would like to have the baby girl i never had the chance to bring home but feel it may be too hard and hope for a boy. DH feels the same. So we hope for a baby that we get to hold and bring home and hear cry.

Both dh's and my family have way more boys than girls, so I think it will be a boy. But I have such an amazing relationship with my mom, so part of me hopes for a girl so we could have that too. (P.S. I started to tear up as I wrote that - holy hormones!)

I go back and forth between boy and girl. I think girl is winning though. The clothes and toys, I can totally relate to a little girl. The little plastic shopping cart with plastic groceries, too cute! DH says 100% boy only because his family only makes boys. With the exception of his sister everyone is a boy. 8 uncles who all had boys. I get to find out in 11 more weeks and will be thrilled either way.

I'll be happy either way, seriously. DD will be 9 then, I think she could potentially bond more with a girl. I have 2 sisters and I really want that for her. But I have heard boys are easier!! :P And judging by my sisters boy/girl twins, her girl is a handful and her boy is so easy. So, either way Smile

I would like a girl, DH wants a boy, but in the end as long as its healthy that is all that I care about.

I think I lean towards a girl first because in my family I am the oldest (and obviously I am a girl).

We already have a daughter. I would love to have a boy so we have one of each, but I also would love to have two daughters. It would definitely be easier clothes-wise if we had another girl! :oP
