Bleach cause repellence issue in pockets?

In a desperate attempt to get rid of my stinky BGs, I've been bleaching them in the past couple loads. Since I've started, she's been waking up soaked at night and even soaking through during the day. HELP! It's getting so annoying!

Re: Bleach cause repellence issue in pockets?

  • If you have rinsed enough it definitely should not cause repelling.

Are the inserts "full"?  If she is soaking them she could just be peeing more than they absorb.

  • Typical wash routine: Hot heavy duty full wash with bleach (no soap), hot full wash with soap, two full washes without soap/bleach.

    Inserts aren't overly full.?

  • Hmm.  That's odd.  I would try washing them with no detergent and no bleach to see if there are any suds.   If not, stripping with dawn might work.

  • I would just make sure you rinse and rinse some more!  The BG website recommends using bleach every so often and I've never had a problem!
