So minus the no sleep part of this week it appears to be going well.
So Austin is doing super good. He had his 6 month appointment late because the doctor is always over booked...Which is kind of annoying but he's a REALLY good doctor so he's worth the weight, plus he's the only one within a reasonable drive period that's actually dealt with preemies. So at his appointment he of course got his shots, but when they weighed him I got a big surprise...He weighs 15 pounds 6 ounces! Which is a whooping 11 pounds and 6 ounces more then he weighed at birth. He's 25 inches long opposed to the 17 and a half at birth. So he's getting to be a BIG boy . He can only not do a couple things on that check list they give me but his pedi said not to worry yet because he'll more then likely always be 2 months behind on at least 1 or 2 things until he's a year or 2 old. He's doing wonderful with his spoon feedings now, he actually opens his mouth like okay mom I'm waiting. LOL. I'm going to update my siggy picture tonight because he does look a little different from a month ago. And all his newer pictures he's sleeping or is making a really strange face (the before face was so cute) but my camera is so SLOW.
So I'm looking into buying my own house now that I know Austin and I will be fine on our own. The house I'm looking at is a 2 story 2 bedroom house. It's still in this little hill billy town. The kids that own in got it after their mom passed away and they don't want to live here so they are selling it for 5,000. I had a home inspector come out and look at it while I was looking at it. It's a sound old house so it's on going to come down on us the only thing the inspector said was that the living room floor (downstairs) would need to be resubbed and the add on that's also downstairs would as need to be resubbed. Which thankfully my step dad has done most his life. Cosmetically it's nasty. The old lady had cats and dogs and apparently wasn't aware what the litter box and the outdoors are for. And the kids don't want anything that was in the house so all that needs cleaned up and trashed. I have to rip up the flooring because it's gross and old and replace it. The bathroom needs a complete make over and the sheetrock on the ceiling needs replaced. The lights need updated and the kitchen needs some attention because there isn't much cabinet space. The sink needs replaced. But after I got it all done the house would be beautiful. So I'm strongly considering this home. Because I was already approved for 2 personal loans that would take care of the house buying and 90% of the fixing up
So after asking whether or not I should even consider the fireman's request one of the ladies on here said one date wouldn't hurt and I decided she's probably right. So I text him this morning and told him and he agreed to go to dinner and watch eclipse. So he's either gay or thinks he's getting laid. I'm going to be made if he's gay and I hate to tell him he isn't getting laid anytime soon. But if this works out I'm hoping his "I don't know if I want kids of my own" will be able to be changed because I want more kids.
I should be getting my new phone in the mail tomorrow or Friday which makes me happy because the company I'm going through now has crap service here and they charge me roaming so this new phone bill should be MUCH cheaper.
So all in all so far it's been a good week. I guess the shrink appointment on Friday will really determine how good a week. And then it's 4th of July on Sunday which makes me happy. I love fireworks I'm just hoping LO will. Plus I've got him entered in a Little Mr. and Miss. our town pageant and I'm really hoping he'll win, because mommy's going to be butt hurt if he doesn't .
So how are you ladies?
Re: Austin, A new house and the fireman
Ok, so I have to ask: why would he be "gay" or think he's "getting laid" based on the fact that he's going to dinner and is going to watch Eclipse with you?
Not so much the dinner part or really that he wants to go to a movie afterwords, it's the fact that he suggested going to see Eclipse....And I don't know a straight man alive that willingly goes to watch a "chick" flick. To be honest I always worry about men turning out gay or something. Eh whatever if he is I guess I have a new shoe shopping buddy. Gay men are really good at finding super cute shoes
Lol, thank you. I doubt your over paying. This place is LITTLE mean like 150 people little, the amount of building out number the amount of people. And the closest walmart is an hour and 45 minutes away. The closest real store is 2 hours the other way from walmart. Plus our property taxes are insane. For this little house I'm looking at it's 7,500 a year and that's before I actually do anything I want to outside. The charge you beautification taxes =|
How do you get groceries?
What do you mean how do I get groceries? If you mean with the long drive I put a huge cooler in the back of the van and put the meat and milk and eggs and such in that to keep to them cold with a bag of ice in there.
I knew there were some pretty rural places in the country but I didn't realize there were still places where you have to drive almost two hours to get groceries. But I've always lived in fairly large cities so I guess I didn't have any idea.
