Babies: 6 - 9 Months

Wow, you have an awesome memory.  Thanks for asking about that.  So to catch up on that post....

At DDs birth I had to have a csection because after being induced multiple times and being very patient (42w1d10hrs of gestation LoL, she's IVF so we actually know that) nothing was happening.  Literally nothing.  They did a csection and she was born in VERY thick meconium.  Enough that I didn't even get to see her for over 12 hours.  The other problem was that they found I had a placenta accreta.  That's where the placenta is actually embedded in the uterine lining. My OB had to 'scrape' it off with instruments.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago.  We are ready to do IVF again but when we went in we found out there was a high chance that the uterus, during the shrink down/ healing process, may have adhered to itself.  They did a saline ultrasound and the shape was appropriate.  So....all good.  As soon as we finish fighting with the insurance we're good to go!

  • I found out today at my ultrasound appt that I could possibly end up having placenta accreta because my placenta is lying directly underneath my previous c-section scar. I came home and looked into placenta accreta and im nervous. People die from. My 1st pregnancy ended at 24+5 days and my daughter passed away the next day. If you could give me any other info on this I would greatly appreciate it.

    xoxo
