Do you keep LO home from daycare when they get shots?

I was still on maternity leave when DD had her 2 month shots but she is due for her 4 month shots in a couple weeks.

All she did was sleep after her shots at 2 months so I hate to take a whole day off but also feel guilty leaving her at DC if she's not feeling well.

What did you do?

DD doesn't go to daycare (she stays with my dad and stepmom), but I take a day off for shots just because I'm a little neurotic and paranoid. I'm sure our LO's would be fine without us though.

I am in the same boat...I was planning on taking the whole day off. SHe might be ok at first, but if she ends up developing a fever or other issue, you'd have to leave to go get her from daycare anyways.

Just by happenstance, I scheduled DD's shots for a day that is my day off (which I thankfully have one during the week), so I spent the day with her. She really has just been sleepy after the shots and otherwise fine, so I think I would have been find still taking her to DC.

I used up all my leave already. I try to schedule them at the very end of the day around 4:00, so that I only have to take an hour off and I can be with DS

I scheduled them for the afternoon for both his 2 month & 4 month shots. I take a half day vacation at work & then they are at 3:30 so I just stay home with LO for the rest of the day. I scheduled them on a Friday too so I would have the weekend with him if he is cranky / fever.
