1 month old getting sick?! :(

my baby sounds like shes weasing..if you put your hand on her chest you can feel some vibration..& she has been coughing a little.  also, she has some gooey stuff in her eyes- its not crusty (idk if that makes a difference)

I have an appt. w. the pediatrician thursday & i left a message to have the doctor call me to see what i should do in the mean time..

i have a warm mist vaporizer should i use it? what is the difference between warm mist & cool mist?

    oh, and to make matters worse, I feel like I'm getting sick.  I have a sore throat & my sinuses are bothering me..could just be allergies though (i hope)

    We always use cool mist because warm mist makes the room a bit stuffier. Steam up your bathroom and take her in there to see if you can loosen things up a bit.  You can also elevate her mattress a little by putting a towel under one end to help with drainage.  I imagine your pedi will want to check her out tomorrow since she is still so young.

    I'm just a lurker (preparing!) but I'm an RN on a Pediatric floor. I would have her seen before Thursday. LO's can get very sick quickly. Their airways are tiny and she may not be getting enough oxygen. I would get her seen just to make sure and be on the safe side. GL! Congrats on your baby!
