  I had a friend in high school named Celia who went by CC, but her last name started with a C so I'm sure that was part of it cuz she was always CC, not CeCe

  Yes, you can - you can even name her Celia, and nn her Coleman...there aren't naming police that will bang down your door and stop you. Although we do flash badges on here occassionally.

  And were you playing around with Selma as the nickname or as another first name option? If it's a first name option, I don't see a nn as necessary.
