Tommee Tippee bottles?

Sorry if this has been asked before (I scrolled back to see), but does anyone have any experience with the Tommee Tippee brand bottles? We went to BRU to register last night and the girl helping us was pretty adamant that these were the best if you're going to be mixing bottles and breastfeeding...I hadn't ever heard of them before so I put them on my registry for now, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried them? thoughts?

If you have used them, do you know if you can wash them in the dishwasher, or do we really need to get their sterilizer too?

 thanks!

Re: Tommee Tippee bottles?

  • For what it's worth- a friend of mine has a friend who loves them and swears by them.

I think every baby is different though.  I just put a few of these on my list in case they don't work for me!

  • DD did both breast milk and formula and did great with the playtex drop ins.  We got a bunch for free and were the only ones we tried, and they worked for us.

  • We LOVE our TT bottles! I didnt like the colic ones, grabed them by mistake. If you do have a gasy/colic baby i suggest the born frees.

  • my son did very well with TT bottles and has been able to go back and forth from breast to bottle without nipple confusion.  I think it is helpful to have a breast shaped nipple if you plan to introduce a bottle early and there are many brands: tomme tippee, playtex, nuby, breastflow, etc.  you can try a few and find what's right for you.  DS likes tommee tippe and nuby.

  • My brother uses these for my nephew and they love them. I feel like it takes him forever to drink a bottle, but that might just be me.

  • We started LO on them.  He sometimes still seems to end up with milk in other places besides his mouth.  Still think he it trying to get the hang of it.  The newborn ones are slow flow, so we like that milk isn't going to go pouring down his throat.

You can wash the bottles in the top dishwasher rack, but we tend to wash them with hot water, then sterilize them afterwards in the sterilizer.

    GL in your decision.
