I already stopped my caffeine habit a few months ago and have given up diet sodas as well. I don't eat sushi anymore mainly because of the rice which does not go with my diet. However, this summer I have been loving turkey subway sandwiches on wheat bread. I know that after you are pg you should avoid deli meat unless is it cooked (which is pretty gross to me). I just wonder if there is any justification in avoiding deli meat while in a 2ww. If there is any reason at all that it should be avoided I will do, just don't want to deprive myself on yet another food for no reason at all.
What do you ladies do?
Re: do you avoid foods/drinks in 2ww or just after a bfp?
I dont change my diet. You will be fine with the deli meat -- you want to avoid the kind that has been sitting out like the stuff in deli show case thing at the grocery store.
I have limited my caffiene but thats it.

I realized on Sun, that on Sat I had - drank coffee, eaten goat cheese, cleaned cat litter, and eaten turkey. LOL
I obviously didn't go out of my way to avoid anything, but I've also never seen a +hpt so the thought of giving up more things, i can't get there yet. I don't drink at all during my cycles though.

I don't drink caffeine anymore but I still have maybe 1 diet mug rootbeer a week. I will give it up when I have to but for right now it is my treat. I'm allergic to seafood and shellfish so sushi isn't an issue for me. As for deli meat I have not given that up and don't know if I will. I am going to talk to my RE because I don't know if I really believe that is a problem.

DS-IUI #1-4 BFN IVF #1 - BFP! It's a boy!!!
I stopped drinking caffeine with my last IVF attempt. I figure it would be easier to stay off than start again and get off again.
But I don't drink alcohol during the 2ww (or during my whole IVF cycle). I don't really restrict my foods. I just try to eat healthy.
I heard that the baby doesn't receive the food and drink you have until around 6 weeks anyway (though I haven't researched that myself). I guess my biggest concern was anything that could cause a m/c. Since i have had 2, I really don't want to have another and then look back and think (what if I hadn't had that sandwich). KWIM? On the other hand, if there is really no harm in eating deli meat or other things in the 2ww and I cut them out after getting a bfp, then I hate to keep cutting things out of my life during all the 2wws for no reason.
Then again I am probably over thinking all of this like I do most things in my life.
After two losses, third time was a charm.

I don't during a normal cycle, but I do during a treatment cycle.
FWIW, the only deli meat I ate while PG was heated to steaming, and I'll do the same until a BFN or delivery now. The concern is a bacteria (listeria) that causes m/c
I lead a pregnant life from the start of every cycle until the end (or a BFP). Except this cycle I did eat half of a turkey sandwich in the middle of the 2ww. The main worry with eating cold cuts is listeria. The fetus is especially vulnerable to it. It could cause m/c or birth defects. That being said, the chances of getting listeria are very small. It's just a matter of whether you want to take the chance or not.

After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
I stopped drinking any alcohol and diet beverages when i started this cycle. During my 2ww i have stopped eating any food that is not pasterized or lunch meats...and cleaning the litter box. To me it is not worth the risk of everything i have gone through to get here.
