NBR: Haircut help please

I'm finally getting my hair cut and colored tomorrow night. It has been a long time and I am in desperate need of help. My hair is the longest it has ever been and I can't decide what to do. Do I just trim it and let it keep growing? Or do I make a change? I'd love a cute style, but my hair is naturally curly and I don't have the time/patience to straighten it and I'm afraid if it's too short, it won't look right. Any input, ideas, help would be greatly appreciated!

  • My hair is naturally curly and I got it cut short(way above the shoulder) a few weeks ago and let me tell you it was a mistake becuase I cannot do anything with it.  I cant stand for it to be in my face so I always wear it in a barrette or headband (to short for a pony)

  • MrsDiss - I love your hair. Mine is pretty similar except a muddy blonde color. I haven't gone in forever and mine is pretty long right now. I have an appointment next week and can't decide if I should leave it long and just reshape/trim it and freshen the highlights or chop it. I'm leaning towards chopping it. Last year, I got mine cut slightly past the shoulders (when straight) and it curled up right above them. I loved it because it felt so light, healthy, and breezy. I could still put it up in a cute little ponytail if I wanted...

I know this was 0 help.

Let me know what you decide.

Thanks! It was a help actually. I only recently started wearing my hair curly - just since I had Addie. I never did before. I hated the way it looked and straightened it for years.  But I don't have the energy and it's growing on me. I'm still learning how to make it look good though - it doesn't always work. It's really frizzy, so getting it to look nice curly is tough.  I've thought about chopping it, but I have no idea what it would look like curly. So I'm also thinking about just trimming and cleaning it up.  I pull it back a lot, but I don't know. I feel like I need a change - just don't know what to do. Bah.

Hi ladies. I also have curly hair that was in need of a cut PP.  I just had them shape it and trim it to make it look healthy again.  I am loving it as I can still put it up when taking care of Claire.  I also found this product https://www.aussie.com/en_US/sprunch-mousse-leave-in-conditioner which is awesome!!!  It leaves my curls soft and clean looking.  I will never use anything else again!!!
