As many of you know, DH and I have been tossing around what our next step should be for quite a few months. It's been a year since our failed surrogate cycle and we weren't sure if our next step would be domestic adoption or embryo adoption.
I'm very happy to announce that we are waiting for the contract from our lawyer to adopt six frozen embryo's! :-)
It all happened very soon and we are so incredibly blessed and thrilled and grateful to be given this opportunity. As it is a private "adoption" we simply have to get the final contract through our lawyer, have some blood work done, then pay to have the six embryo's moved to our RE's office. Once that happens, we can cycle whenever we want.
I'm really going to be relying on your ladies as we go forward. My mom is dealing with her parents (my grandpa has Alzheimer's and grandmother has dementia) and under so much stress...so DH and I have decided to tell none of our family about this adoption at this time. Depending on how my grandparents are once we cycle (probably in September or October) will depend if we let our family in on our journey.
So...soon I'll be back in the trenches with you ladies starting my FET cycle! ![]()
