stringy looking poo?

sorry that's a nasty subject line, but V just loaded a diaper massively (i have GOT to stop letting her wear the xs bg's without pants, btw.  ugh!) and  anyway, for a second i thought there was string in the poop (i know, i've inspected waaaay too many cat poops at this point in life).  it (obviously) wasn't string, just weird stretchy poo but i wanted to ask if anyone else has encountered this and if it's normal?  she went 3 times before i was able to get her upstairs and change her so she obviously had it saved up..  just wanted to make sure i shouldn't be concerned..  i know mucous in the poo can indicate a sensitivity/allergy but wasn't sure what that would look like and if this was it..??

Re: stringy looking poo?

  • IIRC, stringy looking poo is normal for BF poo - sorry to ruin Thanksgiving, but oddly reminiscent of canned pumpkin?

  • Yep.  Normal.  We saw several stringy EBF poops.  No clue what it meant, but LO never had any food allergies or sensitivities.

Hahahaha. I love the canned pumpkin comparison. Ditto this exactly.

  • Bruce had that once at the same age and I thoguht it was worms and very nearly saved it to show DH when he got home from work... it's normal!
