Ok what time does your 2 year old go to bed?? Gage will outlast us every night!! He's usually up until 10:30 or 11:00. It's nonsense but he WILL NOT go to sleep. He usually naps anywhere from 12:30-2:30ish which I don't think is crazy late?
If DD gets a nap during the day, she will outlast us every night. She also gets up really early with a nap.
Try to cut back his nap to 1 hour and see if that makes a difference. You might just have a night owl on your hands. We just go to bed and DD plays in her room until she goes to sleep, we just can't stay up with her anymore.

Walter will stay up until 10 if we let him, and be fine the next day, but we put him in his room at 8:30 and he's lights out by 9pm (this just changed from 8 in room 8:30 lights out with the summer and it being so light out).
We tell him he can be awake, but not leave his room and he has toys he can play with if he wants to stay up.

We put him down at 7:30ish and he's usually out by 8. Sometimes he plays with Scout in his crib longer. He's up between 6:30-7, which sucks on weekends but is good on weekdays. I rarely set my alarm anymore and if he sleeps in on a weekday, so do I.
I suspect he could stay up a lot later if we let him, but we do need to be up in the morning by a certain time so we're sticking with the schedule that works for now.
We too are around 7:30 now! I have noticed with Ads if she takes a later nap then she wants to stay up later at night. So maybe try to push his nap time back 30 min or so?
Evie goes to bed at 8. She gets up around 6:30. Her afternoon nap is around 1:30-2 until about 3:00-4:00.
If she naps late, we usually let her stay up a bit later. If she doesn't nap at all, she goes to bed around 7-7:30.
Sometimes it takes her an hour or longer to fall asleep. We leave her in bed. She just talks quietly and plays, so it's not an issue to leave her in bed.
Cruz is up until 10pm every night! He naps from about 2-4:30. I've tried to change his schedule but NO.CAN.DO! At least he sleeps until 8! Last night he played with a car in his bed until past 10:30.
I think I got lucky in that dept, both my kids at age two - went to bed at 7:30 pm. But both also wake up around 6 am/6:30 am
T isn't 2 yet but 3 months shy. he goes down around 7:30-8 and sleeps until 6-7. I'm so used to getting up early it doesn't bother me one bit. And I would much rather have 3 hours before bed then a few in the morning to myself.
He also stays in his crib up to an hour in the AM playing with his stuffed penguin.
Jillian sleeps from about 8pm - 7am each night with a nap from 1-3pm. We try to put her down at that time every night even if she isn't acting tired because otherwise she gets night terrors which are not fun.

with twins, we are pretty rigid about schedules... and that comes from the early days... bed is 7:30/8 (which means tony and I are eating dinner at 8:30 -- he gets home at 7 ish) and they are up by 6:30 most days, which works for us and getting out the door and off to see clients/go to work. We drop at 8 at daycare...
They nap 12:30-3 or so (daycare) ...
I could not function if they were up until 10! it would drive me bonkers... I need my time with my hubs, to read, veg and clean up the mess romper room threw up!!
my guess is when the time shifts again, it will be a 7/730 bed time
speaking from a behavioral point of view (my job) I would begin to shift his bedtime back little by little until you get it where you guys want it... alternately, you could decide the schedule, and put him to bed/cio.
