I need help! Cookie Monster Nursery...

in Pregnant after a Loss

So, Dh got his Cookie Monster Nursery approval with the Team Blue news this week...

but I can't find anything. I'm okay with DIYing everything if I have to... but I don't even know where to begin! I've searched ebay and etsy and I'm not finding much inspiration.

Anyone have any ideas or seen anything Cookie Monster related?

    Could you start with sheets or something in vivid blue or primary colors? Then you can add art, decorations, etc as you go. I have not seen anything but it sounds cute!

    yeah I was thinking that. The only thing is I dont want it to look "sesame street" you know what I mean?

    I think we're at least going to stick to a chocolate brown, cream color, and blue for the colors... 

    Instead of a typical "comforter" style blanket, I was hoping to find a knitting or crochet pattern with Cookie Monster on it, but we'll see.

    im not sure exactly...still in preliminary stages. haha i just know its going to be tough!

    If you are planning on making bedding and whatnot your self, go to ebay and search for cookie monster fabric. Looks like it sells by the yard. This pattern is cute.

    I would just do lots of blue and white and black...

    Black or White crib with bright blue bedding (solid, or polka dotted in blue and white).  Maybe blue walls with solid white curtains.  White rocker or glider.  Make a pillow using blue chenille and sewing big felt eyes on and a big mouth... make another pillow using brown fabric and sewing black felt polka dots on.  I would just put ONE actual cookie monster in there.. maybe a cookie jar to hold q tips, medicine, thermometer, etc.  (https://www.bonanzle.com/booths/StoryBook/items/Cookie_Monster_Cookie_Jar)

     

     

    Then you can add splashes of color with random toys that you'll collect in time.

    If you or someone you know has a Cricut (its a die cut machine for crafting), they have a Sesame Street cartridge with cookie monster cut outs on it. you can make vinyl stickers for the walls or furniture. Could be super cute!

    Try ebay and if ebay doesn't have anything look up iron on decals on ebay... that is what I did for my snoopy things!
