Parenting after a Loss

Ok girls, 9 months or 10 months..

So my gf and I are having the common debate of wheter or not you are pregnant 9 or 10 months. What did you go by? What did your doctor tell you? Is there a "correct" calculation to this? This is why I told her I go by weeks, not months cause it gets to be a battle of the minds!! :)

Re: Ok girls, 9 months or 10 months..

  • I went 9 months. There are more than four weeks (28 days) in every month except February so 10 months does not make sense to me.

  • You are pregnant something like 9.5 calendar months. You are pregnant 10 lunar months (which are exactly 4 weeks each). Each month is NOT 28 days long, so you aren't pregnant 10 calendar months. You are both technically correct. It just depends on how you count.

  • I just go by weeks, 40 weeks, so it is probably in between because some months have more weeks than others.

  • I consider it 10 months. I got pg in October and had Cora in July so that's 10 months to me.

but you don't count october, you would start with novemebr as month one.
