DH likes this name for our girl. He thinks it sassy. I have gotten mixed reviews on it, people love it or hate it. We like different names. ?WDYT? Last name like Price
Go different all you like, but consider what kind of future you're setting up for your child as an adult. I seriously suggest that you legally name her something else and just call her Pepper as a nickname.
I love it! I'm Maggie Mudd and i've always had to say "yes that's my real name". I love that about my life. Pepper Price is an awesome name. This whole "think about what you're doing to your children" nonsense bugs me. It's a name! It's just a name! Love your child, education your child, give them the best life possible. If her name gets her some hard times in school, then great! She'll grow up to be a compassionate and understanding individual. As an adult she'll either hate it or love it or not care either way. You can't predict it. All the Emma's, Bella's, Maddox's, Caleighs are going to out number the Peppers of the world, and if that's the case I'd rather be Pepper.
Just my thoughts. So go for it!

I can see Maggie's point. I know a Laura Love, and (although I've only met her once) she seems very successful and well adjusted considering her name sounds like a late night radio personality. Unique names are so common these days that Pepper may just fit right in!

I like the name Penelope with the nn Pepper. I was going to say something about the aliteration, but after seeing so many artists with aliteration in their names, I can't say it's good or bad. Although the initials could be used as peepee.
I don't like Pepper, but even more I don't like a "P" first name with a "P" last name. It sounds like someone is spitting when they say those together.

I am a Fawn Fare, and I like the sing-songy sound it makes.
That being said, when I hear Pepper, this is what I think of:

But Maggie and Laura are both real names. Pepper is something you put on your steak!

Sassy is one way to describe it.
Honestly, it sounds like what you'd name your puppy. And combined with Price it's just way too cutesy. In a furry sort of way.

i hate it. pepper is a name for a cocker spaniel...not a baby.
however, if you like to use spices for names, i do love the name Ginger.
Hmm. It makes me think of the orphan in Annie.
What about Piper?
Children should not be named after condiments or spices. Use it as a pet name, not the poor girl's given name.
Or tell your husband he can name your next family dog Pepper.

There's also this show
However by the time your LO is in school, there will probably be a whole slew of new kids shows.
I thought this show was so cool.
