  • So...quid pro quo....we give you updates in all one place if you give us a belly shot Wink  and stop making me stalk your blog and give us some crumbs of updates here!

First off...I miss you tons!  I hope your little kitten is doing fabulous!  I also miss Joyful and I hope she is reading this also!

Me: Our first pick for a donor accepted and is currently undergoing all the testing.  I just started BCP's and it is looking like we will have a retrieval in late July...eeek!  I am so ready for this to work!

  • Oh Char, how I love you.

But but...I like you stalking my blog! If I post here will you stop reading? Don't you like to be entertained by stories of "Convent Boobs" and the "Over the Fence" saga? LOL.

I need to switch computers to get a belly shot, but I'll do that and come back and post in this thread.

    ANYWAY...

OMG I am so excited for you!  So if the ER is in late July, that means you'll have all the test results..when?

  • Ute stat...went in for CD3 b/w. Results will be in Friday, and we shall go from there!

Cat...25 weeks, we need to see that bump!

    :::muah:::

I love, love, love the blog!  But I have to do something to get you over here more!!

So I am assuming you are talking about the test results for the donor...I am not so sure they will tell me anything as long as her ovaries and such look good.  I think the ER will be 8/4 (now that I look at a calendar) her baseline would be 7/21 with stims starting on 7/24...so that means a 3dt on 8/7 or a 5dt on 8/9...1st beta on 8/18.  I have another hysteroscopy on 7/9 (yuck)  and will get a more detailed outline/calendar then.

  • I'm here, still the occasional poster! Ute=empty so far. I will probably do an IUI in August for a Hail Mary shot at this TTC thing.
  • Uterus still empty! I'm waiting for AF so can start BCP so I can start my next round of injections hopefully in August. I can't believe you're 25 weeks already!
  • Hey I was thinking about you on the way to work yesterday! I was wondering how far along you were..in my head I had you at 24 weeks so I was pretty close. Still waiting for the bump pic!

Update on me~~~ Started IVF#1, had 4 beautiful follies and super uterine lining until the day of retreival where the u/s revealed I had already ovulated through the meds! So my RE did a Hail Mary IUI (not much hope as  they say I had ovulated the day before)..We were prepared for a BFN just not this.

Now~~ we are fighting for our money back for procedures not completed, and trying to decide the next step...

"Onward"--CathyMD Waiting since 07/5/2011 for our forever child! Yep we are adopting!
  • CAT!!!! it's freaking good to see you.  How is the LO and Jack? I hope he's holding up with all the baby preparations, is he charting your abdominal girth? I too have been stalking the blog

I'll start bcps in Sept for FET in Oct. DH response to the mc is a family trip to Disney in Sept, my 4 yo is excited to say the least (and so are we). We have 6 grade a frosties, so we have 1-2 FETs left and then I'm throwing in the towel on #2.

    Good to see you!

1 ectopic 3 m/c's prior to 5/05 Un-freaking-explained IF 5/05 IVF, BFN 9/05 FET 3d5e, BFP = Beautiful Baby Girl (lucky pg #5) 8/08 Fet 3d5e, cp 12/08 IVF with PGD, transfer 3, BFN 5/09 FET transfer 4, BFN Hail Mary IUI with Follistim 9/11 BFP; 9/22 confirmed tubal/MTX 4/10 FET 3d5e, BFP!!!! m/c 5/26/10 1 year break and yet another m/c 5/11 FET #5 initial beat 121, second beta 7 Lap and removal of L tube and very mild endo 7/11 Suprise BFP 12/11 & m/c @ 8 wks. After 11 losses and one beautiful miracle our journey is over, we are thankful and at peace.
  • Awesome to "see" you, Cat, and thanks for triggering an update!  I miss you and all my favs!  Love, love, LOVE your blog (and can't wait to see your bump pic)!  I'm so glad everything is going well for you... yippee!!!

As for me, I'm just getting going with this TTC thing... I'm 5dpo in Cycle #3. Also, just snagged a CBEFM off of eBay and waiting for it to arrive.

I am disobeying my gyn's orders and still charting... my mind would go nutters without something to calculate and analyze, and it's so much more fun this way... hmmm, is this why I love reading your Jackisodes?  :D

    Take care!

  • Hi Cat!  Not sure who's actually doing the updates...we haven't had one in a long while, so thanks for initiating this one!

Ute status = empty; had to skip this cycle due to traveling..so there was no clomid, no needles, no IUI.  So, I guess I'm technically in the 2WW..but have no hope at all - thanks to some poorly timed sex.

Smile   Totally waiting for the bump pic!

  • Hello Ms. Cat! I miss you! Hope you are doing well. Please post a belly pic. I know there is one in your blog, but it is from a long time ago now.

My ute is hopefully no longer empty as I am in the 2ww after IVF #2.1.  Since we only transferred two embryos, one of which was good and one crappy, it is likely that the ute is still empty, but I promised my mom and acupuncturist I would be positive. So, here goes . . . hoping to get a BFP in a week or so. Ok, that is about as positive as I can get. :)

Does anyone know what happened to Joyful?

Ah, you kept up the charting. Jack would be proud of you :) GL with the CBEFM as well!

Glad you like the blog. I like writing it, though I was a bit slack with the updates lately. But back at it.

  • Hi Cat and everyone!

It's good to see you again - it's been a long time.

You are going to be a mama before you know it, Cat! My goodness, time flies.

Char - I'm so excited for you! I haven't been on to even lurk in awhile - I didn't know they found you a donor! WOOOHOOO!

EVERYTHING is crossed for you, Baze and Holly!  And for everyone else. A rash of pregnancies upon you all!

As for me: We are not actively TTC. Well, we are having sex and not using protection, and of course I notice when my cm is fertile. But I'm not tracking days or temps. I have no idea what CD this is, for example.

Hey, DH and I just took a fabulous long weekend trip for our fourth anniversary, and hey, I had ewcm, and we partied like it was our honeymoon, so you never know!

But I am trying to accept that, given our Rx and our decision not to pursue any more ART given those things, we are not likely to have a bio child. It is against my nature to give up hope, and yet, I feel like I have to move on in some way, because only after we process this can we make a sound decision regarding adoption. We just can't focus on TTC and figure out the adoption question at the same time.

That last graph sounds sad! But I swear, I'm not sad 98 percent of the time. (Early June was hard, because that's when I would have given birth had I not lost the pregnancy. And it is also when a friend gave birth). There  has been a lot of relief in this part of the process. Somehow, I think I had been putting pressure on myself, or maybe on us, every month to get everything just right. And some months, AF felt like a personal failure, even though I know that's completely ridiculous!

The weirdest thing was once I got my head around shifting from TTC to thinking more about adoption, all of my fence-sitter doubts about parenting that I thought we worked through before deciding to TTC came back. This is another reason why I think we need more time to process:  Are the little doubts really about childrearing, or is it the fear of starting another long, potentially painful process?  I dunno yet.

    Whew! That got long. Sorry.

  • Joyful! There you are. I have been thinking lots about you.

So great to hear how you are doing. As usual, you are wonderful at expressing yourself :) Sounds like you've had a lot on your mind, while at the same time being able to work though some things,  and start to give some thought to others.

GREAT bump pic!  I always enjoy your updates, whether on the blog or here.  Cheers!

  • Hi Cat. I hope your preganacy is going well and that you survived the gross GD drink. Also you are 25 weeks are you going to find out or did you find our the gender of your little one.  Just curious.  My little Rachel is in my siggy. Big Smile She is keeping me pretty busy I can't believe she is already 5.5 weeks.

And to all of you other ladies still TTC ::hugs:: I miss all of you bumpies. I hope your utes are full soon.

Holly- stay positive - it only takes one. I have my fingers crossed for you. Char - good luck with your donor eggs. That is so stinking exciting!      Baze- WTF? I'm sorry to hear that you O'd - I hope you get KU from the hail mary IUI and can recoup your expenses for the parts of the process that were never completed. Are you going to try IVF again?                           Sel Stella - good luck with your IUI!!!  I hope you get your BFP.

  • Loving to see the pg old timers here!  I am so glad for all of you!  I love seeing your preg belly Cat!  And Xine - Rachel is precious!  We have had a lot of successes here which should make all the new TTC 35ers hopeful!

As for our TTC journey, we are pretty much done. I did start acupuncture so you never know!  We are almost certainly not doing any ART procedures.  I have had unused Follistim in the fridge since December (will probably donate it to the OOP girls).

As for Joyful, I PMed her a few months ago and she never replied so I think she is really done here.  I still lurk and respond/post very infrequently.

Holly - my fingers and toes are crossed for your two to make it!

  • Hey Cat, doing good. Heading to my first regular OB/gyn appt this week. Made 9 weeks yesterday. I was so much less worried when I was going to the dr every week and seeing the ultrasound. Now I have to wait every 4 weeks. Very hopeful this is the one. Have two frozen eggs on reserve for later. Your bump is adorable! Deanne

Strunella - good to see that all is well with you

Cat - Wow, half of your pregnancy is already over. It seems like is went by fast. Does it seem fast to you?

As for me - Lap done and not so bad. RE says that we should be good to go so...onward to July, seeing how "pelvic rest" took me out for June.
