SATC with your MIL...is that weird?

I'm going to see SATC tonight with my MIL.  Is that weird?  Would you feel weird if a sex scene came on and you were sitting next to your MIL?  I didn't think about this until just now.

    yup.  would be weird for me.

    but if you knew my MIL you would know that that scene would bring up allllllll sorts of inquries about my 'personal' life and way tmi about hers.

    sigh. Confused

    Not if you like your MIL, and I know you do.  I sat next to my DAD at the first SATC movie.  My DAD.  That was more awkward than any MIL.  ;)

    What is your deal with seeing SATC with people that you shouldn't see SATC with?  I think you seek out the awkwardness.

     Personally, no, I wouldn't mind seeing it with my MIL.  But, this is also the woman who gave me a box full of lacy underwear for Christmas as to assist in her getting a grandchild sooner.  No lie.

    I think I'd be ok with it. I saw 40 year old virgin with a friend and her mom and that was weird! We saw it like right when it came out and had no idea it was going to be as "outspoken" as it was. It wasn't as weird for me as it was for my friend, she was totally dying. It was funny.

    DH and I saw Knocked Up with my mom and grandparents. It was pretty uncomfortable, but not the worst thing in the world. I sat through the Andy *** BJ scene in old school with my FIL and DH's uncle, and that was way worse. I had forgotten about that scene and was horrified when it came up.

    It wouldn't be weird for me, but I'm close with my MIL.  It would be weirder for me to watching a sex scene in a movie that I'm seeing with my parents.  I guess I just view my MIL as a friend rather than someone's (DH's) mother.
