First Birthday Party Location Ideas

I need to come up with a place to have my son's first birthday and we are coming down to the wire...We are going to have it in mid-August and are looking to stay in Anne Arundel County but places like Columbia, Laurel, Catonsville, basically a 20 min drive from my house in the Severn/Glen Burnie area.  Any suggestions?

    Are you looking for a kid-centered place or something more for out of town family?

    Quiet Waters Park is nice- they have picnic pavilions, but it could be crazy hot in August.

    they have a room away from the play area where you can do food/cake, etc. and then they have lots of fun stuff for toddlers (even those not walking yet) to play with.

    Ty for the recommendation.  I am tbh worried about the heat, which is why I don't really want to have it outside but I really am envisioning a casual get together for family and fun "toy" areas for the kids.  Like a section for hula hoops, sock puppets and bean bag toss for the older kids and having Matthew's water table and some other of his favorite toys for the youngsters, while the adults can eat and socialize.  I will definitely look into the gym.  thanks again!

    another place to possibly look into is the Annapolis Maritime Museum- it's a pretty "open" space, you can bring your own food, etc.
