So I don't think DH installed DD's new car seat completely right. I redid it but I'm still not completely sure I have it in there right.
I called the local fire station but no one answered. So I called the local police to see if they had someone that could do the inspection. The girl tells me she'll see if she can find an officer to do it. My question is: they will only let a certified child seat inspector check it right? Someone trained to look for the safety issues?
When I google car seat inspection in new mexico all that comes up is a place 45 minutes of highway driving away-so I don't really want to do that trip until I'm sure it's installed correctly.
Re: Car seat inspection? (sort of a dumb question)
I'm not sure if it's different for each state (or city), but in Chicago, there's someone at each police station who is certified to check car seats, and the fire department has a special department that does it (not at the local fire stations). I made an appointment and had DH take ours to the police station. The inspector did fix something, so I'm glad we took it.
