What to wear to the hospital?

When I get to the hospital, I plan to wear the hospital gown to labor, deliver, etc.  What do people usually wear to get to the hospital?

Re: What to wear to the hospital?

  • I just worse jeans and a shirt and I wore the same jeans home so that I didn't have to pack as much. I think it will just depend on where and when you are when you go into labor and how much time to have before you need to go in.

  • I'm just going to wear whatever is comfortable. :) probably a jersey skirt and tank top like I wear every other day. :)

  • I picture myself in sweat shorts or sweat capris and a t-shirt.  That's what I usually wear around the house so I imagine that's what I'll be headed to the hospital in.  Some people wear the outfit that they plan to wear home to save on stuff to pack.
  • Just normal day stuff -- I had on maternity jeans and a red top. I left wearing black comfy pants and a tank though :)

  • I wore jeans and a tee to the hospital.  I wore a dress home.
  • You are going to wear whatever is comfortable at that time.  Especially if you are going naturally and do not have a planned c-section.
  • I just threw on the first thing I could find, but it was 3 in the morning so I really didn't care.

  • I wore yoga (lounge) pants and a tank top.  I really did have much to pick from since my water broke at my friends house.  On the way home I wore sweatpants I picked up from Areo.
  • I wore sweat capris and a tank
  • I wore yoga pants, tank, and a hoodie.  I wore the same thing home, since I had it on for about an hour the day I had arrived at the hospital.
  • I think I just wore the jeans and shirt i was wearing...it really doesn't matter.  you'll have to change as soon as you get there.

same here.  I just wore jeans and a shirt and wore the same thing home.  It was 1:30 in the morning so it was something easy I could just throw on.
