We haven't had to share our laundry facilities since DD was born until now, so I'm not sure about this. A friend of ours is living in our building now and has this obsession with dryer sheets and fabric softener. This shouldn't cause a problem for my diapers right? I'm guessing no but I want to know if there are any precautions I can take if it could be a problem. =]
Re: ? about CD laundry.
I'm pretty sure dryer sheets can cause buildup and repelling issues. But someone more expert than me can confirm or deny.
Can you convert them to dryer balls?
Does the washer have an automatic softener dispenser? If so, there may be some residual that gets into your wash water, but I wouldn't think it would be enough to soak into the diapers much (I'm going from laundry experience, not CD experience, though, so hopefully more experienced CD washers can weigh in). If it does cause issues, and you're close enough friends, maybe you can ask your friend to use something like a Downy ball instead of the dispenser in the washing machine.
The dryer sheets shouldn't cause any issues as long as you make sure there are none left behind in the dryer when you do your own loads. Just make sure they don't do something silly like start using the downy bar. Even then, you can pop it out for your diaper loads and put it back in.
Ella is finally here!

I'd be scared
I'd probably line/rack dry everything. If you notice repelling you could try a shot of RLR in the wash.
Thanks! I'm not too worried about it but I knew you ladies would be able to tell me what's up. =]
